Got a question?
Here are some of the most common things we’re asked…
What’s the difference between a Quad, ATV and Buggy?
While the terms are often used interchangeably, there are a few key differences:
Quad – A quad bike typically refers to a four-wheeled vehicle designed for one rider (and sometimes a passenger). It’s agile, lightweight, and perfect for everyday farm or estate work.
ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) – This is the broader category that includes quads, side-by-sides, and utility vehicles. In short, all quads are ATVs, but not all ATVs are quads. ATVs are built for handling tough terrain and come in a range of sizes and power levels.
Buggy (UTV) – Often called a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) or side-by-side, a buggy is larger, more powerful, and seats two or more people side by side. They have roll cages, steering wheels (instead of handlebars), and are ideal for hauling equipment, towing, or transporting passengers around farms and estates.
Do I need a licence to ride an ATV in Scotland?
If you’re using your ATV on public roads, you’ll need a full car (Category B) or motorcycle licence, depending on the vehicle type. For off-road or agricultural use on private land, no licence is required — but we always recommend proper training for safe operation.
Do your ATVs come road registered?
Yes, we can supply both **road-legal and off-road models**. If you need your ATV registered for limited road use (such as travelling between fields), we can handle the registration process for you.
Are your ATVs suitable for farm and estate work?
Absolutely. Our ATVs and UTVs are *built for heavy-duty agricultural and gamekeeping use*, including towing, hauling feed, checking livestock, and navigating rough terrain across fields and forests.
What brands or models do you supply?
We stock a range of **trusted all-terrain brands** known for reliability and performance. Whether you need a compact quad for daily tasks or a powerful UTV for estate work, we’ll help match the right model to your needs.
Do you offer finance or payment plans?
Yes, we can arrange **flexible finance options** to help spread the cost of your new ATV or UTV. Get in touch to discuss the best package for your budget and business.
Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
All new machines come with a *manufacturer’s warranty*, and we offer full servicing and maintenance support to keep your vehicle running at its best year after year.
Can you service and repair ATVs?
Yes — we offer **professional servicing, repairs, and parts replacement** for all makes and models. Regular maintenance ensures your ATV stays safe, reliable, and ready for work in all conditions.
How do I choose the right ATV or UTV for my needs?
It depends on your land type, workload, and how you plan to use it. Our team has years of experience working with *farmers, gamekeepers, and estate managers across Scotland* — we’ll guide you to the perfect fit for your terrain and tasks.
