This Shipping & Returns Policy explains how Scott Telford All Terrain (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles the process of quoting, confirming, delivering, and—where applicable—accepting returns for All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs).
By requesting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below.
2. Ordering & Quote Process
2.1 Requesting a Quote
All vehicles on our website are sold by quotation only.
Customers select the vehicle(s) they are interested in and submit a quote request form.
We will then provide:
- A full written quote
- Vehicle details and specifications
- Estimated delivery time
- Total cost including shipping
Quotes are generally valid for 14 days, unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Confirming an Order
An order is only confirmed once:
You accept the written quote; and
Full payment (or agreed deposit) has been received.
No vehicles will be shipped or reserved until payment is confirmed.
3. Shipping Information
3.1 Dispatch Time
Shipping only begins after full payment has been cleared.
- Standard dispatch time is usually 3–10 business days after payment, depending on stock, preparation, and courier arrangements.
- Custom specifications or special orders may require additional time; we will notify you in advance.
3.2 Delivery Method
All Terrain Vehicles are shipped using specialist vehicle transportation services.
Delivery includes:
- Secure transport
- Pre-shipment inspection
- Delivery to the address provided at the time of quote/order confirmation
3.3 Delivery Times
Delivery times vary based on location:
- UK Mainland: Typically 3–10 business days after dispatch
- Remote areas (e.g., Highlands & Islands): May require additional time
Any estimated delivery date provided is an estimate only, not a guarantee.
3.4 Delivery Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring:
- The delivery location is accessible for a large vehicle transporter
- Someone is present to receive and sign for the vehicle
- Any access restrictions are communicated prior to delivery
If delivery fails due to access or no one being available, redelivery fees may apply.
3.5 Inspection Upon Delivery
Please inspect your vehicle upon arrival.
If there is damage or an issue:
- Note it on the delivery paperwork
- Notify us within 48 hours
- Provide photos and details
This helps us resolve transport-related issues quickly.
4. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
4.1 Vehicle Returns
Due to the nature of ATV sales, returns are only accepted if:
- The vehicle is faulty, damaged during transport, or not as described
- You notify us within 14 days of receiving the vehicle
- The vehicle has not been used, registered, or modified
Vehicles that have been ridden, used, or altered cannot be returned.
4.2 Faulty or Defective Vehicles
If the vehicle is faulty or significantly not as described:
- We may repair the fault
- Replace the vehicle
- Or provide a refund depending on the situation
You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.
4.3 Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns on:
- Used vehicles
- Vehicles damaged through misuse
- Vehicles customised at your request
- Special order or custom-built units
4.4 Cancellations
Before Payment
You may cancel a quote request at any time before making payment.
After Payment but Before Dispatch
You must contact us immediately.
If the vehicle has not yet been dispatched, a cancellation may be possible, but:
- Administrative fees
- Preparation costs
- Or supplier charges
may be deducted from the refund.
After Dispatch
Once the vehicle has shipped, cancellations will be treated under the returns policy.
5. Refund Process
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing typically takes 5–10 business days
Any shipping, handling, or preparation costs may be deducted unless the vehicle was faulty or damaged
